How is the gold price in pesos calculated?

We take the international price of one troy ounce of gold in dollars and convert it to pesos with the official dollar.

Where does this value come from?

The dollar price comes from Swissquote (spot gold XAU/USD). If it does not respond, or on weekends, we use PAXG, a gold-backed token, on Kraken or Coinbase.
